1) The End Of Everything (Shadows!Hunter)

I thought death would be the end of everything.

When my body fell onto those rocks in Sicily, I could feel every bone inside snap and pierce every internal organ they could but for some reason, it didn't bother me. Instead of my mind screaming in pain, it just let go in relief, knowing I would never have to deal with those miserable bastard children of mine and the memories of the shit the old lady and Pat put me through.

Regrets?

Sure I've got a couple - one, that Adam and Christian - the only brats from that whore Joanie I can claim as mine - were still alive and two that I never got the chance to be the father I knew I could be to CJ, instead having to stand by and let whore wife number two Stephanie and that pathetic twit of a husband of hers turn my son into something he never should become. But I guess there's nothing I can do about it now. Besides, there are my small victories, the sweetest being Christian alienating himself from his 'families'. I tell you there's nothing sweeter than seeing the look on Matt and Adam's faces when they go through their e-mails and letters and find nothing from Christian...

Oh right, where was I again?

Right.

I thought death would be the end of everything. That finally I can have the peace I've longed for as long as I can remember; never having to do more than wander this planet as nothing more than a cloud of ether and the flash you see out of the corner of your eye only to disappear when you try and get a better look.

But as that Asian chick asked in Kill Bill - I didn't think it was going to be that easy, did I? That I wouldn't have to face my past and the demons in it that are also here? Wherever here is.

And until recently my answer would've been the same as Uma's...

You know, for a second there, yeah, I kinda did.

But as always, fate being the queen whore of them all, had other plans for me and they weren't pretty.

2) Interrogation (Sesshomaru)

He stood looking at his captive and knew it was one of Naraku's minions, sent to distract him from his mission of revenge, but it was clear Naraku underestimated him and was going to send this one back to Naraku, wherever he might be, as a message that he, Lord Sesshomaru, was not a demon to be trifled with.

"What are you going to do, My Lord?" Sesshomaru's own minion, Jaken asked anxiously as delighting from watching his Lord at work like this.

Sesshomaru didn't answer the smaller demon. He rarely did. All he did was stare at this minion of Naraku's and asked it, "Where is he?"

The demon, a sniveling little hog like creature, lay at Sesshomaru's feet. "I don't know what you're talking about. I know nothing about a Naraku."

"You lie." Sesshomaru held out the husk of what had been a hive of Saimyoushou, Naraku's killer insects. "The only way you could've gotten this was from him, now where is he?"

The demon said nothing, but Sesshomaru could tell that his defiance was nothing more than a sad, pathetic act.

"I'm giving you one more chance to spare yourself. Where is Naraku?"

"Burn in hell, you stupid, stupid blonde! I'll tell you nothing!"

A slight wind rustled the grass surrounding them and Jaken could be heard gasping at the impertinence of the demon in front of them but Sesshomaru was, as always, unflapped by the attitude of the creature as he removed Tokijin from its sheath.

"You will tell me what I need to know or with every refusal, I will cut something off and I promise you, it will be something you will miss. However, when you return to Naraku, I want him to witness the extent of my mercy by witnessing your deformed body. I want you to tell him what I want you to tell him all the information you just told me. I want him to know what I know. I want him to know I want him to know. And I want him to know that he'll soon be as dead as Goshinki."

Sesshomaru raised his sword. "Now, where is Naraku?"

3) Pride (RVD/Sabu)

"How do I look?"

Rob looked up from his magazine at Sabu, who was wearing a suit as well as his headdress and it was moments like this he found himself falling for the Indian all over again. "You look ready."

A grimace crossed Sabu's face. "I don't know how anyone could be ready for something like this." Rob smiled as he set the magazine to the side. "You never liked it when people paid attention to you, did you?"

Sabu shook his head. "I always thought tribute shows were for those who died or retired." Sabu walked to the mirror in the dressing room. "This just doesn't feel right."

"There're are a lot of people out there for you." Rob pointed out.

"I know." He looked at Rob. "You're gonna be out there as well?"

"Fuck yeah. I didn't blow off therapy to come here and sit on my ass for no fucking reason."

Sabu looked in the mirror again. "I just don't know about this."

Picking up his crutches, Rob limped over to where Sabu stood and looked at his reflection over Sabu's shoulder. "You've earned this. Every table dive, every barbed wire match, you've earned their respect. So relax and enjoy yourself."

"It just makes me feel like a charity case."

"Hey," Rob reached out and grabbed Sabu's shoulder. "You're not a charity case. Everybody who's wrestling here tonight is helping you for a reason and that reason is respect. Like I've said, you've earned this. Now turn around."

Sabu did as requested and stood still as Rob fixed his tie. "There, now you look presentable."

Rob watched Sabu fix his headdress before asking, "Now I want the truth. How do I look?"

"You're a vain bastard, aren't you?"

"Only when it comes to you."

Rob shook his head slowly. "You look ready. Now get your ass out there before people wonder where you've wandered off to."

Sabu chuckled before walking to the door but paused long enough to look behind him at Rob, the words he wanted to say for so damn long were there, but his voice wasn't. Instead he gave Rob a mock salute before walking out.

4) Revenge (Rey Mysterio)

Wiggle you big toe.

Lying in the hospital bed, Rey focused all his attention on his right big toe, his legs feeling numb after Eddie slammed him onto the steel steps. He knew if he could move this one toe, everything would be all right; that any fear of paralysis would pass and as he focused on it, he thought back to a conversation he and Eddie had a while ago...

"What's your biggest 'R' Rey?"

Wandering around a rest stop to stretch his legs after the three-hour drive they've been on, Rey paused hearing Eddie's question. "Where'd that come from?" Rey asked before drinking from the bottle of water he bought from the vending machine.

"Never mind where it comes from homes," Eddie leaned back against the picnic table behind him. "Just tell me what's your biggest 'R' in life."

The smaller man thought about that for a moment as cars and trucks whizzed on the highway a few feet away from them. "You mean like a big fear starting with 'R' or what?"

"Something like that. Mine would be regret." Eddie sat on a picnic bench and leaned back. "Regret over everything I've done in the past and how it's still bothering me now." Eddie looked at Rey. "So, what's yours?"

Wiggle, wiggle...

When the toe obeyed it's command and wiggled, Rey heaved a sigh of relief, knowing the hard part was over and started to wiggle his other toes and couldn't wait until he could finally reveal to Eddie what that one 'R' in his life was now.

Revenge.

5) Walking Dead (Matt Hardy)

He sat out in the car; the gun sitting next to him like a companion.

He stared at the house, wondering if this was some sort of mistake; that perhaps he'd been given the wrong address until he saw her through the window walking around, her head bopping to whatever she was listening to, her red hair moving along like a belly dancer.

If it were just her, he'd leave his friend here in the glove compartment. If it were just her, he'd be more willing to listen to her and hear her out about why things happened they way they had.

If it were just her, he could fall in love again.

But that illusion was shattered when he saw him appear in the window, his arms circling her waist, those perfect Canadian teeth of his showing in a smile which meant to him the other man had won and there would be no second chance at reconciliation.

He picked up the gun and looked at it, wondering if he could do this; if he could be as cold blooded to take not one but two lives with no second thought. There had been a flicker of doubt for a second, but only for a second, as he thought about all he'd lost because of the two people who had the nerve to call him and invite him to their little love nest so they could 'fix things' and be 'friends' again as if a couple of beers would give him back everything he'd lost; his job, his credibility and to him the most important thing, his girlfriend who he loved for six years and now, some would say he lost his mind.

However to him, when fortune smiled on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seemed proof to him that not only did God exist, but that he was doing his will.

And he had no intention of letting God down now.

Slipping the weapon into a deep pocket, the safety still on, he got out of the car and walked across the street and up the lit walkway leading to the house and rang the doorbell, slipping his hand into the pocket while he waited for whoever to answer the door and tonight that misfortune belonged to Adam.

"Hey Matt," the lanky Canadian said with a smile. "Come on in."

6) Wedding Day Blues (Jericho/Stephanie)

"What are you doing here?" Stephanie asked when she saw the person standing behind her reflected in the mirror she was in front of. She hoped he would show, give her a last minute reprieve but the look on her face, she had a feeling that wouldn't be the case.

"What am I doing here? A few minutes ago I was on stage with my band and the next thing I know, I'm standing here looking at the most beautiful bride I've ever seen."

Stephanie turned in her seat and looked at him. "Chris, you really should go; I mean anyone could walk in and see you and..."

"And what? Throw me out?" Chris walked over to where she sat and knelt down beside her. "If seeing you for the last time looking this beautiful means I'll get thrown out on my ass, then it will be worth it."

She sighed. "I should've accepted your proposal."

"But you didn't."

"Daddy just thought Paul would've been a better match..."

"Of course he would've."

"We could leave here. Just get in a car and head off..."

"We can't." Chris reached out to touch her face. "We can't and you know why we can't."

Stephanie nodded. "I'm just sorry that things turned out like this..."

"So am I but we can't change things now."

"You probably think I'm a bad person, marrying someone I don't love."

Chris chuckled. "No I don't think you're a bad person. I think you're a good person, but sometimes Steph," Chris stood and kissed the top of her head before whispering, "you can be a real cunt."

Stephanie chuckled as she watched Chris leave the room and her life, this time for good.

7) Unfinished Business (Tajiri/Funaki)

"Tajiri! You and I have unfinished business!"

Tajiri looked away from the catering table as he heard the declaration spoken in Japanese and saw Sho Funaki standing in the doorway of the catering room, a look of determination on his face. Tajiri looked around and saw everyone start to clear out, knowing what was about to happen and not wanting to get into the middle of it.

This had been going off and on at every combined roster event for the past couple of years and so far, neither man were able to top the other but tonight, Tajiri vowed, tonight he would be the victor. Keeping an eye on Funaki, he walked stealthily over to where his bag was, his eye on the weapon Funaki had as he retrieved his own and walking to the middle of the room, aimed it at him. "You may not fight like warrior, but you can at least die like one."

Funaki snorted and aimed his own weapon at Tajiri.

Seconds later, the catering room was covered in water from a pair of high power Super Soakers.

And once again, neither man had a resounding victory.

8) Snapshots (Benoit, Heidenreich)

"And from here you can get a excellent view of my foot..."

Chris only nodded as he feigned interest in the photographs Heidenreich was showing him, which were proof that Vince had lost his fucking mind when he hired the guy. So far there had been photos of his foot, his car's bumper, a blurry photo of a billboard and a sneaker hanging off a telephone wire and judging by the stack in his hands, it looked like Chris would be subjected to even more weirdness by the time this was over with. He remembered how over at Raw, Eugene would show him pictures as well, but unlike the abstractness of Heidenreich's photos, Eugene's had something more than a close up of a worm on them.

"Oh and here's one of a dead squirrel I found on the side of the road."

Chris wondered if it were too late to be drafted back to Raw.

9) Without a Soul (Naraku/Kagura)

"That woman deserves her revenge and we deserve to die," Kagura announced as she watched the soul gatherers scream past the window of the castle, which was hidden by the barrier. "Then again so does she."

In the corner of the castle, Naraku sat watching Kanna's mirror show him where the searchers were heading. "And what brought about this most profound statement of yours Kagura?"

"It mustn't be easy, wandering the earth as nothing more than a soulless clay vessel having to harvest souls to survive. Not to mention what you did to her and Inuyasha all those years ago..."

Naraku said nothing as he watched Kikyo be surrounded and fed by the searchers. He was surprised when he had heard the news about the witch Urasue reviving Kikyo for whatever reason she had and as hard as he fought against it, his still-human heart felt something for her after all she had suffered, but now wasn't the time to allow that foolish part to even take hold of him. He'd even tried to expel that part of him only to have to fight to get it back in order to survive.

"I'm sure though," he heard Kagura speak. "In time, we will have to face her once more and then you can finally destroy her."

But watching the scene in Kanna's mirror, Naraku wondered if his human side would ever let him do that.

10) Five Months Gone (Charlie Haas/Dawn Marie)

"How did you find me?"

"It wasn't easy."

He'd heard the rumors, even checked the calendar but before he could even talk to her and find out for sure, she left the company and the business and now here it was five months later and they were standing on the porch of a house that didn't look big enough for her let alone a baby on the way.

Seeing her there, her oversized sweatshirt trying as hard as it could to conceal the obvious bump of her belly, he tried to speak and ask the questions he wanted to ask her but the words wouldn't come.

As though she could read his mind, she spoke for him. "No, Charlie. It's not yours. If that's all you've come for, then you can turn around and leave."

"Do you know...?"

"Yes I know who the father is and it's not you. So please, do me a favor and head back to Jackie and forget about our little affair and have a happy life together."

Charlie could only nod as he did as Dawn asked.

As she watched him get into his car and drive away with a small wave, she wished she could've told him the truth, but seeing how happy he was with Jackie, she knew it would mean nothing but heartache for her and her little souvenir of a wonderful night five months ago.

11) Suffering (Victoria)

She must suffer to her last breath.

She must know what it's like to be a real Diva and not some little Barbie doll for the boys to ogle and gawk at.

She must know what it's like to feel pain and to have it inflicted on her.

She must know that it's going to take more than a pretty face and a cute smile to get respect in this business.

She must know that posing for Playboy will mean nothing when she's getting her hair torn out or her bones broken.

She must know that being cute and perky means nothing when your body is sore and aching from being slammed on the mat over and over again and then into metal objects your body has no business being thrown into.

As she stood watching Christy attempt to 'train' for their match at Vengeance, Victoria knew the redhead must know all these things and more before she took Christy out, hoping to make an example for the rest of the 'wannabes' who were already here and the new batch coming in, that she was not someone to fuck with.
